Jaipur : The hardwood action at Manipal University Jaipur has kicked off as the All India Inter University Basketball Tournament commenced today, promising thrilling matches and fierce competition among 16 esteemed teams hailing from various regions across the country. The tournament, slated from January 9th to 12th, 2024, has drawn attention with players of national and international repute showcasing their skills in this prestigious sporting event.
The event was inaugurated by the Pro-President, Manipal University Jaipur - MUJ Cmde. (Dr.) Jawahar Mal Jangir and Registrar Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar. The national event is graced by the Secretary general of Basketball Federation of India Mr. Kulvinder Singh Gill and Arjuna Awardee Dr. Suman Sharma joined as the observer of the tournament. The President, Manipal University Jaipur Dr. G K Prabhu applauded the efforts of the participants and wished them the best. This Association of Indian Universities national event is hosted by the Directorate of Sports, MUJ. Dr. Reena Poonia, the Director, Sports, MUJ has been overseeing the event.
