Jaipur : Deputy Chief Minister, Diya Kumari attended the closing ceremony of SAI’s (Sports Authority of India) Fit India Week at Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium as the Chief Guest. During the programme, children gave various presentations to spread awareness regarding sports. Diya Kumari called upon everyone to adopt a healthy and fit lifestyle. She said that through SAI, the youth and players of the country have got the opportunity and encouragement to showcase their talent. In this modern era of competition, it is crucial for the body to stay active and healthy. By being physically and mentally healthy, a person can work with more energy in life and contribute to his or her own development as well as the development of the country, she said.
MP Ramcharan Bohra also participated in the programme. Chairman, Sports Council, Dr Prithviraj Sankhla; SAI's Rajasthan in-charge, Pragya Saini and many councillors were also present. During the Fit India Week, many programmes like debate, quiz competition, essay writing, poster making, yoga, meditation sessions and collective pledge were organised to bring awareness in the society.

Diya Kumari distributed sweaters and jerseys to underprivileged girls on the occasion of National Girl Child Day. The girls looked elated and excited after getting their photo taken with the Deputy Chief Minister. Diya Kumari said that daughters are the priceless wealth of this society. Daughters are the future of the world.
