Rotary Club of Mumbai Bhandup Organizes Rotary Fun Fiesta 2023 to Benefit Underprivileged

The Rotary Club of Mumbai Bhandup hosted the inaugural Rotary Fun Fiesta from December 15-17, 2023, in Bhandup, Mumbai. This event was more than just entertainment; it was a way to combine fun with family, raise awareness for the underprivileged, and generate funds for worthy causes.

The Rotary Club of Mumbai Bhandup has a long history of giving back to the community through various initiatives, including:

• Cataract Free Bhandup: The Club has conducted over 350 free cataract surgeries.

• Paediatric Heart Surgeries

• Tailoring training with a 100% job guarantee

• Pink Auto Project: Trains women to drive auto rickshaws and provides them with government subsidies and loans.

• Education Loans

The Rotary Fun Fiesta featured a variety of entertainment options, including a comedy night, a musical evening, a fashion show, and playback theatre. The event also served as a platform to showcase the community's talent, with celebrities like Singer Sanjeevani Bhelande, Kunal Kaushal, Comedian Ahsaan Qureshi, Dinesh Bawra, Raja Rancho, actor Amar Upadhyay, and Veteran Marathi and Bollywood Actress Smita Jaikar.

One of the highlights of the event was the creation of the 33-foot-tall Cardboard Christmas Tree, which broke the world record for the tallest cardboard Christmas tree. This initiative, a collaboration between the Rotary Club of Mumbai Bhandup, CrossAsyst Infotech Pvt Ltd, and Venue Partner Ms.Rajool Sanjay Patil, was a source of immense pride for the local community.

President Rtn. Jennifer Isaac of Rotary Club of Mumbai Bhandup expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming response to the event, stating that the Fun Fiesta's primary goal was to assist the underprivileged. She also announced plans for future Rotary Fun Fiestas, building on the success of this inaugural event.
